Q: Do I have to cut my wallet size photos from a sheet? A: No, our wallet photos are die cut at the lab. They are shipped as a sheet to help prevent damage in shipping but you simply pull them apart. If you would like us to pull them apart for you, we will be happy to do so if you add the request to do so to the comments part of your order. Q: Will you travel out of the Cincinnati area to photograph my wedding (or other event or job)? A: Yes, although most of our work is within 150 miles of Cincinnati we will travel anywhere in the United States. In some cases, we will travel out of the United States. Please keep in mind travel expenses may apply.
Q: Do you use digital or film cameras? A: Both, we will use the equipment that will yield the best results base on our experience for each job. If you have a preference for digital or film, let us know when you are booking the job and we will use the one you prefer. Please keep in mind assignments photographed on film may cost more due to the additional expense of the film and processing.
Q: Will Captured Light Photography discount or donate goods and services to my charity? A: Requests for discounts and donations are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please e-mail your request along with background information about your organization to us and we will reply as soon as possible.
Q: I need my photos fast; will you rush the order for me? A: Yes, No, Maybe.....The time we "handle" your order is relatively short so rushing an order is best accomplished by asking the lab to rush the order. We will do this and the labs we use generally can rush an order for us but there may be an additional charge for the rush service. Please contact us before you place the order to inquire about the possibility of rushing your order and any charges that may be incurred.
Q: How long after I order will I receive my Photos (Gallery Wrap, Post Cards, etc.) A: Most orders take 2-4 weeks however, some are delivered quicker and others may take a little longer. Generally speaking photographs, gallery wraps will take 2-4 weeks. Wedding albums, Proof Albums, Business Cards, Post Cards, etc. usually take longer while Corporate Head Shots usually take less time. Feel free to e-mail us to check the status on your order or for inquiry regarding delivery times.
Q: Will the word "PROOF" or the image number appear on the photos I order? A: No, those appear on the images in the web store and some proof CD/DVD's only.
Q: I'm worried about privacy on the web; will everyone be able to see my photos in your web store? A: We password protect each event/job (unless the client requests that we do not use a password) when it is posted to the web store. There is also copy protection put in place on the web store to help prevent anyone from making unauthorized / illegal copies.
Q: Why do you have links on some pages to a "contact information" page since your contact information is on every page of your web site in the upper right hand corner? A: Two reasons: First several business clients asked for a contact page that could be book marked which is why our contact page exists. Second, we like the contact information to be easy to find, so we put it in the upper right hand corner of most of the web site pages.
Q: If I have a question that is not answered on this page should I email it to you? A: YES!!!! We will be happy to answer your questions and here is a link to email your question to us. You can also call us with your question if that is easier or if you need an answer now!
Q: Can I have black or white border on my photos? A: Yes, if you are ordering on-line, there is a place at the end of the ordering process to add a comment or message to us. If you would like the same color border on all the photographs in your order, add a message stating the color border and that you would like it on all the photographs in your order. If you would like a border on some of the photographs but not all of them or different color borders, add a comment stating that you would like us to contact you about adding borders to photographs in your order. Of course you may also contact BEFORE placing the order to make the arrangements. If you are ordering from a proof CD, DVD or any other direct ordering method just add a note to your order form indicating which photographs you would like to have borders and what color border each photograph is to have, or contact BEFORE placing the order to make the arrangements.
